Press release

We are aware of a situation earlier today where red ink was accidently spilled into a catch basin north of the airport. This ink has since made its way into Spring Creek in the Region of Peel and can visibly be seen from some locations on airport property.

The Ministry of the Environment and Conservation and Parks and the Region of Peel are in the process of providing clean up. Please note that no harm to the creek, wildlife or the environment is expected at Pearson. We are in close conversation with both agencies.

For further information about the cleanup effort, please contact Environment Canada at 416-314-6666.
