Our airport connects passengers to their next adventure, people to jobs, investments to the region, and residents to transit. But, we’re more than just an airport; we’re your neighbour.
The airport reflects the community—if the communities around us are thriving, so are we. Our community outreach team works with partners in Brampton, Mississauga, and Etobicoke to engage with the community and build relationships. Check out some of the ways we work with our neighbours below.
Toronto and Region Conservancy Authority’s (TRCA) Sustainable Neighbourhood Action Program (SNAP)
We know that our neighbours hold us accountable for the management and mitigation of the impacts of our operations. Not only do we want to be good neighbours to all of the surrounding communities that make up our neighbourhood, but we also want to create a healthier environment for all people and other animals that live nearby.
That’s why we have partnered with Toronto and Region Conservation Authority’s (TRCA) Sustainable Neighbourhood Action Program (SNAP) and Partners in Project Green (PPG) towards the development and initial implementation of a Neighbourhood-wide Urban Agriculture Strategy in Rexdale, through Toronto and Region Conservation Authority’s (TRCA) Sustainable Neighbourhood Action Program (SNAP) and Partners in Project Green (PPG). Toronto Pearson Street Team
After a four year pause, we’re thrilled to welcome back our Summer Student Street Team back for 2023. Our Summer Street Team helps us to connect with our neighbours and to keep our conversation going with the community we call home. Look for our colourful Toronto Pearson tent at a number of community events, movie nights, farmers’ markets and festivals across the region. Meet the team, learn cool facts about Pearson, test your airport trivia, and win awesome swag! We have lots of fun in store this summer, so be sure to come out and join in.
Pearson Connects Virtual Coffee Chats
Our Pearson Connects Coffee Chats provide a unique look at what it takes to keep our airport operating safely every day. Meet with our team and subject matter experts to learn about the history of the airport and its economic impact, our operations and how we are giving back to local communities. Community events
We seek out opportunities to connect with our neighbours at community events, where we can set up our interactive booth and chat about initiatives, while also giving away fun and educational materials about Pearson.
Please note: Attendance requests are available throughout the year, but community events requesting funding must be held between April and September.

We’re looking to set up a booth at community barbecues, farmers’ markets, small community events, and community centres to build relationships with our neighbours in intimate settings and share our work with the community.
