Responsibilities

Welcome Team volunteers help passengers feel welcomed, relaxed and delighted by:

  • Greeting passengers throughout the terminals
  • Providing general directions to washrooms, restaurants, gates, airport services and more
  • Responding to basic passenger inquiries with thoughtful, enthusiastic and accurate answers
  • Enhancing the overall passenger experience at Pearson

Required skills and qualifications

  • Ability to volunteer on a bi-weekly basis for a four-hour shift. There is a variety of shifts from 4:30 AM to 10:00 PM, seven days a week. Eight hours per month is required.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Be a minimum 15 years old
  • Attend a Greater Toronto Area secondary school
  • Be reliable and commit to a minimum 40 or 60 hours, for a maximum 8-month commitment

  • Ability to commit to at least one four-hour shift per week for duration of their co-op assignment

Applications are now closed until our next recruitment cycle. We will hold information sessions and accept applications again in September 2024.

Our partnership with local post-secondary schools will begin accepting applications again in Fall 2023.

This is strictly a volunteer role. Participants receive no salary or benefits other than the satisfaction of helping our visitors.
