We’re proud to share that Toronto Pearson received Level 4 – Transformation designation through Airports Council International’s (ACI) Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA). As one of the first Canadian airports to achieve this designation, it represents a major milestone in our environmental and sustainability goals.
Over the years, we have been working hard to reduce our airport’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and shape an environmentally responsible future. In 2009, we put forward a strategy that resulted in significant GHG reductions by 2020, and in 2021, we released our Environmental Policy that includes a commitment to achieve net zero emissions by 2050.
We know there is more work to be done, and as we look to the future, we will continue to find ways to limit our impact on the environment while operating in a safe, secure manner.
