Are you a parent or guardian of a Grade 9 student who is interested in what you do at Pearson Airport? Our virtual Take Our Kids to Work Day is on November 3, 2021. It will showcase the dynamic aviation industry and paint a broader picture of some of the diverse career opportunities available at the airport. We are pleased to open this to all Grade 9 students of airport workers at Toronto Pearson.
To help organize your day, we’ve made the content available ahead of time. Begin the learning on our module.
Suggested schedule for the day:
- Self-directed Virtual Learning: Choose your own adventure of learning for two and half hours (over three and a half hours of learning available; students can come back any other day to explore other segments)
- Lunch: One-hour lunch break
- Parent/Guardian Virtual Job Shadowing: Two hours anytime during the day (this is your opportunity to share what you do at the airport, your career journey and your experience)
The program is online only and there is no in-person element. The content is self-directed, and your Grade 9 student will be allowed to progress at their own pace (the content will continue to be available after November 3; this means if you are required to work on-site that day or you and your family has other priorities on November 3, you can share in the learning anytime that suits your schedule). To participate, Grade 9 students just need a computer or tablet connected to the internet.
